(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Musaddad narrated the hadith to us, he said: Ismail narrated the hadith to us, he said: Abdul Hamid Sahib Al-Ziyadi informed me, he said: Abdullah bin Al-Harith, the cousin of Muhammad bin Sirin, informed us that
on a rainy day Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said to his muezzin: When you have said "Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah," do not say "Hayya Ala As-Salah" (but instead) say: pray in your homes. So the people, as it were, disliked this. Hazrat Ibn Abbas said: This has been done by one who was better than me. There is emphasis on offering the Friday prayer, and I disliked putting you in hardship, that you would walk in mud and slipperiness.
