(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Mūsā ibn Ismā'īl narrated to us, he said: Wuhaib narrated to us, he said: Hishām narrated to us, from Fātimah, from Asmā', she said:
I came to 'Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, and at that time she was praying. I asked: What has happened to the people? She gestured towards the sky, and at that time all the people were standing in prayer. 'Ā'ishah said: Subhān Allāh! I asked: Is this a sign? 'Ā'ishah answered with a gesture of her head: Yes! Then I also stood up, until faintness began to overcome me, so I began pouring water over my head. Then the Prophet ﷺ praised and extolled Allāh, Mighty and Glorious, then he said: There is nothing which I had not seen (before) which I have not now seen in this place, even Paradise and Hell. So this has been revealed to me: Indeed you will be tried in your graves, a trial resembling the trial of the Masīh al-Dajjāl, or close to it. (The narrator says:) I do not remember what Asmā' said. It will be said: What knowledge do you have about this person? As for the believer, or the one with certainty (the narrator says: I do not remember what Asmā' said), he will say: This is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allāh; he came to us with miracles and clear proofs, so we responded to his message and followed him — and he said three times: This is Muhammad. Then it will be said to him: Sleep, benefiting (from your deeds); we knew that you were indeed one who had certainty in him. And as for the hypocrite, or the doubtful one (the narrator says: I do not know what Asmā' said), he will say: I do not know! I heard the people saying something, so I said it.
