(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abū al-Nu'mān narrated to us, he said: Hammād narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Abī Qilābah, that Mālik ibn al-Huwairith said to his companions:
Shall I not inform you of the manner of the prayer of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ? — and at that time it was not the time of any prayer. Then he stood, then performed rukū', then said "Allāhu Akbar," then raised his head, then remained standing for a little while, then performed sajdah, then raised his head, remained (sitting) for a little while, then he prayed just like this elder of ours, 'Amr ibn Salamah, may Allāh be pleased with him. Ayyūb said: He did an action which I had not seen anyone else doing: he used to sit in the third and fourth rak'ah.
