(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Sulaimān ibn Harb narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abī 'Awn, he said: I heard Jābir ibn Samurah, may Allāh be pleased with him, he narrated that:
'Umar, may Allāh be pleased with him, said to Sa'd, may Allāh be pleased with him: The people of Kūfah have complained about you in everything, even in the prayer! Sa'd said: I recite more Qur'ān in the first two rak'ahs, and I do not recite in the last two rak'ahs, and whatever I have followed in the prayer of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, I do not leave it off. 'Umar said: You have spoken the truth, and this was the same thought about you — or this was my same thought about you.
