(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Ibn Abī Maryam narrated to us, he said: Nāfi' ibn 'Umar informed us, he said: Ibn Abī Mulaikah narrated to me, from Asmā' bint Abī Bakr, may Allāh be pleased with her, that:
the Prophet ﷺ prayed the Kusūf (eclipse) prayer, then he stood; so he stood for a very long time; then he performed rukū'; so he performed a very long rukū'; then he stood; so he stood for a very long time; then he performed rukū'; so he performed a very long rukū'; then he raised his head from rukū'; then he performed sajdah; so he performed a very long sajdah; then he raised his head from sajdah; then he performed sajdah; so he performed a very long sajdah; then he stood; so he stood for a long time; then he performed rukū'; so he performed a very long rukū'; then he raised his head from rukū'; so he stood for a long time; then he performed rukū'; so he performed a long rukū'; then he raised his head from rukū'; so he performed sajdah; so he performed a long sajdah. Then, after finishing the prayer, he turned towards those praying, and said: Indeed, Paradise was brought near to me, so that if I had dared, I would have brought you a cluster from among the clusters of Paradise. And the Fire was brought near to me, until I said: O my Lord! Am I among them? So at that time there was a woman who was being clawed by a cat. I said: Why is the cat clawing her? The angels said: She kept this cat tied up until it died of hunger; neither did this woman feed the cat, nor did she free it so that it might eat something. Nāfi' said: I think he said: So that it might eat something from the refuse of the earth.
