Imām Bukhārī narrates: Abū Ma'mar narrated to us, he said: 'Abdul-Wārith narrated to us, he said: 'Abdul-'Azīz narrated to us, from Anas ibn Mālik, may Allāh be pleased with him, he said that:
for three days the Prophet ﷺ did not come out of the chamber. So the iqāmah for prayer was given, and Abū Bakr, may Allāh be pleased with him, stepped forward. Then the Prophet ﷺ raised the curtain of the chamber. Then when the face of the Prophet ﷺ appeared to us, we had never seen a more beautiful sight than the face of the Prophet ﷺ. When his face appeared to us, the Prophet ﷺ gestured with his hand towards Abū Bakr that he should step forward, and the Prophet ﷺ let down the curtain, then he was not able to pray after that, until he passed away.
