Imam Bukhari narrates: Ismail bin Abi Uwais narrated hadith to us, he said: Imam Malik bin Anas narrated hadith to me, from Abi An-Nadr, freed slave of Umar bin Ubaidullah, that Abu Murrah, freed slave of Umm Hani bint Abi Talib, informed him that he heard Hazrat Umm Hani, bint Abi Talib, say that
I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the conquest of Makkah, at that time he was taking a bath, and his daughter Sayyidah Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, was screening him. She narrates that I greeted him with salam, he said: Who is this? I said: I am Umm Hani bint Abi Talib. He said: Welcome! Umm Hani. When he finished the bath, he wrapped a cloth around himself and prayed eight rak'ahs. When he finished the prayer, I submitted: O Messenger of Allah! My mother's son says that he will kill the person whom I have given protection to, he is so-and-so bin Hubairah. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O Umm Hani! Whom you have given protection to, we have given protection to. Hazrat Umm Hani said: That was the time of Chasht (mid-morning).
