(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Yahya bin Bukair narrated to us, he said: Laith narrated to us, from Aqil, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwah, from Hazrat Aisha (may Allāh be pleased with her), she says that
we went with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ in the Farewell Pilgrimage; some of us entered into ihram for Umrah, and some of us entered into ihram for Hajj. So when we came to Makkah, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: Whoever entered into ihram for Umrah and did not send a Hady should end his ihram, and whoever entered into ihram for Umrah and sent a Hady should not end his ihram until his Hady has been sacrificed, and whoever entered into ihram for Hajj should complete his Hajj. Hazrat Aisha said: My menses began, and I remained continuously menstruating until the Day of Arafah came, and I had entered into ihram for Umrah only; so the Prophet ﷺ commanded me to undo the hair of my head and comb it, and enter into ihram for Hajj, and abandon Umrah. So I did this, until I had performed Hajj; then he sent Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr with me, and commanded me to perform Umrah from the place of Tan'im in place of that Umrah of mine.
