(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abu Ma'mar narrated to us, he said: Abdul Warith narrated to us, from Al-Husain. Yahya said: And Abu Salamah informed me that Ata bin Yasar informed him that Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani informed him that he asked Hazrat Uthman bin Affan:

Tell me, when a man has intercourse with his wife and does not ejaculate, (what is the ruling)? Hazrat Uthman said: He should perform wudu as he performs wudu for prayer and wash his private part. Hazrat Uthman said: I heard this from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. I asked Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib, Hazrat Az-Zubair bin Al-Awwam, Hazrat Talhah bin Ubaidullah, and Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allāh be pleased with them) about this, and all of them gave the same ruling.

And Yahya said: And Abu Salamah informed me that Urwah bin Az-Zubair informed him that Hazrat Abu Ayyub informed him that he heard this from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.
