Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 995

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abu al-Nu'man narrated the hadith to us, he said: Hammad bin Zaid narrated the hadith to us, he said: Anas bin Sirin narrated the hadith to us, he said:

I said to Hazrat Ibn Umar (Allāh be pleased with them both): Tell me, should we recite at length in the two rak'ahs (Sunnah of Fajr) before the morning prayer? So he informed that the Prophet ﷺ used to offer prayer at night two by two rak'ahs, and would offer Witr with one rak'ah (joined with them), and would offer two rak'ahs before the morning prayer, and the adhan would be in his ears.

Hammad said: That is, he ﷺ used to offer them quickly.
