(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Musaddad narrated to us, he said: Yahya narrated to us from Sufyan, he said: Abdur Rahman bin Abis narrated to me, he said:

I heard Ibn Abbas, may Allāh be pleased with them both, he was asked: Were you present with the Prophet ﷺ at the Eid prayer? He said: Yes! And if I had not been so young, I would not have been present with him. (I went with him) until he went to that flag which is planted near the house of Kathir bin al-Salt. He led the prayer, then gave the sermon, then he came to the women, and Bilal was with him. He preached to those women and admonished them and commanded them to give charity. Then I saw those women, they would stretch out their hands and put (removing their jewellery) into the garment of Bilal. Then he and Bilal went to his house.
