(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Zakariyya bin Yahya Abu al-Sakan narrated to us, he said: al-Muharibi narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Suqah narrated to us from Sa'id bin Jubair, he said:

I was with Ibn Umar, may Allāh be pleased with them both, at the time when the point of a spear pierced the sole of his foot. His foot stuck to the stirrup, so I got down from my mount and removed his foot from the stirrup. This incident happened at Mina. When Hajjaj heard the news, he came to visit him. So Hajjaj said: If only we knew who pierced you with the spear. Ibn Umar said: You pierced me. Hajjaj asked: How? Ibn Umar said: You carried weapons on a day when weapons are not carried, and you brought weapons into the Haram, whereas weapons are not brought into the Haram.
