Sahih Al Bukhari 95

Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates: ‘Abdah ibn ‘Abdullāh narrated to us; he said: ‘Abd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; he said: ‘Abdullāh ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us; he said: Thumāmah ibn ‘Abdullāh narrated to us,

from Anas (may Allāh Almighty be content with him), that when the Prophet ﷺ spoke, he would repeat an important statement three times so that it would be understood, and when he came to a people and greeted them, he would give salām three times.
