‘Abdah narrated to us; he said: ‘Abd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; he said: ‘Abdullāh ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us; he said: Thumāmah ibn ‘Abdullāh narrated to us

from Anas (may Allāh Almighty be content with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, that when he would give salām, he would give salām three times, and when he spoke, he would repeat an important statement three times.
