Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 929

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Adam narrated the hadeeth to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated the hadeeth to us, from Az-Zuhri, from Abdullah Al-Agharr, from Hazrat Abu Hurairah, Allāh be pleased with him, he says that the Prophet ﷺ said:

when the day of Jumu'ah comes, the angels stop at the door of the mosque and write down (those who come). Whoever comes first, they write him first. Whoever comes early, his example is like one who sacrifices a camel. Then whoever comes after that is like one who sacrifices a cow. Then like one who sacrifices a ram. Then a chicken. Then an egg. Then when the Imam comes out (from the chamber), the angels fold up their scrolls and listen to the sermon.
