(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Sulaiman bin Bilal narrated to me, he said that Hisham bin Urwah said that my father informed me, from Hazrat Aisha (may Allāh be pleased with her), she narrates that:

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr came, and with him was a miswak, with which he was cleaning his teeth. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ looked towards him. I said: O Abdur Rahman! Give me this miswak. So he gave me that miswak. I bit its (front part), then I chewed it, then I gave that miswak to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. He used that miswak. At that time he was leaning against my chest.
