Al-Imam al-Bukhārī narrates that Muḥammad ibn Muqātil Abū al-Ḥasan narrated to us; he said: ‘Abdullāh narrated to us; he said: ‘Umar ibn Sa’īd ibn Abī Ḥusayn narrated to us; he said: ‘Abdullāh ibn Abī Malīkah narrated to us

from ‘Uqbah ibn al-Ḥārith [ibn Ankaḥ]. He said: ‘Uqbah married the daughter of Abū Aḥbāb. Then a woman came to them and said: “Indeed, I have nursed ‘Uqbah and his wife.” ‘Uqbah said: “I did not know that you nursed me, nor did you inform me of it beforehand.” Then he mounted his ride and went to Madīnah to meet the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ to ask about this matter. The Prophet ﷺ said: “How will you maintain it in your marriage?” Even though guidance had already been given regarding this issue. Afterward, ‘Uqbah separated from his wife, and she then married another person.
