(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, he said: Shu'aib informed us, from al-Zuhri, he narrated that Tawus said:

I said to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allāh be pleased with them both) that the people have mentioned this hadith, that the Prophet ﷺ said: Take a bath on the day of Friday and wash your heads even if you are not in a state of janabah, and apply perfume. Hazrat Ibn Abbas said: As for the bath, it is his ﷺ statement, and regarding perfume, I do not have knowledge.
