Sahih Al Bukhari 878

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Asma narrated to us, he said: Juwairiyah informed us, from Imam Malik, from al-Zuhri, from Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar, from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar, he narrates that:

Hazrat Umar bin al-Khattab stood delivering the sermon on the day of Friday. At that time, one of the Companions of the Prophet, from among the earliest Muhajirin, entered the mosque. So Hazrat Umar called out to him and said: What time is this? He said: I was occupied. I could only reach my house at that time. When I heard the call, I did nothing except make wudu.

Hazrat Umar said: And wudu also (is it worthy of blame!) whereas you know that the Messenger of Allāh used to command bathing.
