(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, he said: Shu'aib informed us, he said: Abu al-Zinad narrated to us that indeed Abdur Rahman bin Hurmuz al-A'raj, who is the freed slave of Rabi'ah bin al-Harith, narrated that he heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was saying:

We are the last (in being sent) and will be the foremost on the Day of Judgment, although the Book was given to them before us. Then this is the day which Allāh the Exalted made obligatory upon them. They differed in (determining) this day, so Allāh guided us to this day. So the people are followers of us in this day. The Jews honor the next day (Saturday), and the Christians honor the day after the next day (Sunday).
