(Imām Bukhārī narrates) that Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, he said: Imam Malik informed us from Yahya bin Sa'id from Amrah from A'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, she said:

If the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ had seen this adornment which the women have now invented, he would have forbidden them (from coming to the mosque), just as the women of Bani Isra'il were forbidden. I asked Amrah: Were they forbidden? She said: Yes!
