(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Ubaidullah bin Musa narrated to us from Hanzalah from Salim bin Abdullah from Ibn Umar, may Allāh be pleased with them both, from the Prophet ﷺ, he said:
When your women ask you for permission to go to the mosque at night, then give them permission.
Shu'bah has followed this hadeeth from al-A'mash from Mujahid from Ibn Umar from the Prophet ﷺ.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَكُمْ نِسَاؤُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَأْذَنُوا لَهُنَّ ". تَابَعَهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
