(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, he said: Shu'aib informed us from al-Zuhri, he said: Urwah bin al-Zubair informed me from A'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, she said:
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ delayed the Isha prayer until it grew dark, until Umar called out to him that the women and children have gone to sleep. Then the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came out from his room and said: No one on the face of the earth is waiting for this prayer except you, and at that time the prayer was not prayed anywhere except in Madinah, and they used to pray the Isha prayer from the disappearance of the twilight until the first third of the night.
