(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Amr bin Ali narrated to us, he said: Yahya narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Abdur Rahman bin Abis narrated to me, he said: I heard Ibn Abbas, may Allāh be pleased with them both,

a man said to him: Have you ever gone out (from the room) with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ? He said: Yes! And if it were not for my age, that is, if it were not my childhood, I would not have been present on that occasion. He came to that hill which is near the house of Kathir bin al-Salt, then he gave a sermon, then he went to the women, then he admonished them and gave a sermon and commanded them to give charity. So a woman would take her hand towards her throat and remove her jewellery and put it into the lap of Bilal, may Allāh be pleased with him. After that, he and Bilal went home.
