Imam Bukhari, may Allāh have mercy on him, mentions: Adam narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Ayyub from Nafi', he said that
Ibn Umar, may Allāh be pleased with him, used to pray at the same place where he had led the obligatory prayer.
Al-Qasim did the same. And Abu Hurairah, may Allāh be pleased with him, relates in a marfu' report that the Imam should not pray the supererogatory prayers in his place. And the chain of narration of this hadeeth is not sound.
