(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Ismā'īl narrated to us, he said: Imām Mālik narrated to me, from Ibn Shihāb, from 'Īsā ibn Talhah ibn 'Ubaidullāh, from 'Abdullāh ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Ās, may Allāh be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, at the occasion of the Farewell Hajj, was standing at Minā answering the questions of the people, when a person came and said:
I did not realize, and I shaved my head before slaughtering. He said: Now slaughter, there is no harm. Then another person came and said: I did not know, and I performed the naḥr (slaughter) before throwing the pebbles. He said: Now throw the pebbles, there is no harm. Then whatever thing the Prophet ﷺ was asked about, that it had been put forward or put back, he said the same about it: now do it, there is no harm.
