(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Musaddad narrated to us, he said: Yahyā ibn Sa'īd informed me, from 'Ubaidullāh, he said: Sa'īd al-Maqburī narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Hurairah, may Allāh be pleased with him, he narrates that:

the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque, then a man entered the mosque, so he prayed, then he came and gave salām to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ returned his salām, then said: Go back! Pray, because you have not prayed. So he prayed, then came and gave salām, so he said: Go back! Pray, because you have not prayed. This conversation happened three times. Then that man said: By the One who sent you with the truth! I cannot pray better than this, so teach me to pray. He said: When you stand for prayer, say "Allāhu Akbar," then recite from the Qur'ān whatever you can with ease, then perform rukū' until you perform rukū' with tranquillity, then raise your head from rukū' and stand until you stand straight with moderation, then perform sajdah until you perform sajdah with moderation, then raise your head from sajdah and sit with tranquillity, then perform (a second) sajdah until you perform sajdah with tranquillity, then pray your whole prayer in this manner.
