(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Mūsā ibn Ismā'īl narrated to us, he said: Hammām informed us, from Qatādah, from 'Ikrimah, he narrated that:

I prayed behind an elder in Makkah; he pronounced the takbīr twenty-two times in the prayer. I said to Ibn 'Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with them both: This person is foolish. Ibn 'Abbās said: May your mother weep over you! This is the sunnah of Abū al-Qāsim ﷺ.

And Mūsā said: Abān narrated to us, he said: Qatādah narrated to us, he said: 'Ikrimah narrated to us.
