(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abū al-Nu'mān narrated to us, he said: Hammād narrated to us, from Ghailān ibn Jarīr, from Mutarrif ibn 'Abdullāh, he narrates that:

I and 'Imrān ibn Husain prayed behind 'Alī ibn Abī Tālib, may Allāh be pleased with him. Whenever he performed sajdah, he pronounced "Allāhu Akbar," and when he raised his head from sajdah, he pronounced "Allāhu Akbar," and when he stood up after two rak'ahs, he pronounced "Allāhu Akbar." When he completed the prayer, 'Imrān ibn Husain, may Allāh be pleased with him, took my hand and said: He has reminded me of the prayer of Sayyidunā Muhammad ﷺ — or he said: He has led us in the prayer of Sayyidunā Muhammad ﷺ.
