(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Muhammad ibn Yūsuf narrated to us, he said: Al-Awzā'ī narrated to us, he said: Yahyā ibn Abī Kathīr narrated to me, he said: 'Abdullāh ibn Abī Qatādah narrated to me, from his father, that:

the Prophet ﷺ used to recite Sūrat al-Fātihah and some sūrah with it in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and sometimes he made us hear a verse, and he used to make the first rak'ah long.
