Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates that Ismā’īl ibn Abī Uways related to us; he said: Imām Mālik narrated to me, from Ibn Shihāb, from ‘Ubaydullāh ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Utbah,

from ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh Almighty be content with them both), who said: I was riding on a donkey (or a she-donkey) while the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was leading the people in prayer, and at that time I was close to the age of puberty. I passed in front of part of the row, let the donkey graze, then entered the row, and no one objected to me.
