(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, he said: Yahyā narrated to us, from 'Ubaidullāh, he said: Sa'īd ibn Abī Sa'īd narrated to me, from his father, from Abū Hurairah, may Allāh be pleased with him, that:

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ entered the mosque, then a person entered, so he prayed, then he gave salām to the Prophet ﷺ, so he returned the salām and said: Go back and pray, because you have not prayed. So he went back, then he prayed in the same manner as he had prayed before, then he gave salām to the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Go back and pray, because you have not prayed. This happened three times. Then that person said: By the One who sent you with the truth! I cannot pray better than this, so teach me. So he said: When you stand for prayer, say "Allāhu Akbar," then recite from the Qur'ān whatever you can recite with ease, then perform rukū' until you perform rukū' with tranquillity, then raise your head from rukū' until you stand straight, then perform sajdah until you perform sajdah with tranquillity, then raise your head from sajdah until you sit with tranquillity, and do this throughout your whole prayer.
