Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 735

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): 'Abdullāh ibn Maslamah narrated to us, from Imām Mālik, from Ibn Shihāb, from Sālim ibn 'Abdullāh, from his father, that:

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, when he began the prayer, would raise his hands up to his shoulders, and when he pronounced the takbīr for rukū', and when he raised his head from rukū', he would similarly raise his hands, and he would say: "Sami'a Allāhu liman hamidah, Rabbanā wa laka al-hamd." And he did not do this in sajdah.
