(Imām Bukhārī narrates): 'Abdul-A'lā ibn Hammād narrated to us, he said: Wuhaib narrated to us, he said: Mūsā ibn 'Uqbah narrated to us, from Sālim Abī al-Nadr, from Busr ibn Sa'īd, from Zaid ibn Thābit, may Allāh be pleased with him, that:

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ made a chamber (enclosure); he said: I think it was made of matting in Ramadān. He prayed in that chamber for several nights, so his Companions also prayed with him. Then when he learned that they were praying (with him), he began sitting in the house, then he came out towards them and said: I saw what you did. So, O people! Pray in your houses, for indeed the best prayer is that prayer which a man prays in his house, other than the obligatory prayer.

'Affān said: Wuhaib narrated to us, he said: Mūsā narrated to us, he said: I heard Abū al-Nadr, from Busr, from Zaid, from the Prophet ﷺ.
