(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Adī narrated to us, from Sa'īd, from Qatādah, from Anas ibn Mālik, may Allāh be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said:

Indeed, I enter into the prayer, so I intend to pray it long, then I hear the sound of a child crying, so I shorten the prayer, because I know that the mother will become greatly distressed because of its crying.

And Mūsā said: Abān narrated to us, he said: Qatādah narrated to us, he said: Anas, may Allāh be pleased with him, narrated to us similar to this, from the Prophet ﷺ.
