Imām Bukhārī narrates: Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsā narrated to us, he said: Hishām ibn Yūsuf informed us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhrī, he said: 'Ubaidullāh ibn 'Abdullāh informed us, he said that 'Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, said:
When the condition of the Prophet ﷺ became heavy and the pain increased, he sought permission from his wives that he spend the days of his illness in my house. So they gave him permission for it. Then he came out between two men, and his two feet were making marks on the ground (from dragging), and he was between 'Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with him, and another person.
'Ubaidullāh ibn 'Abdullāh said: I mentioned to Ibn 'Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with them both, what 'Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, had said. Ibn 'Abbās said to me: Do you know who that other person was, whom 'Ā'ishah did not name? I said: No! He said: He was 'Alī ibn Abī Tālib, may Allāh be pleased with him.
