Sahih Al Bukhari 647

Imam Bukhari narrates: Musa bin Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Abdul Wahid narrated to us, he said: al-A'mash narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Salih, he said: I heard Abu Hurairah, may Allāh be pleased with him, he used to relate that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

The prayer of a man in congregation is superior to his prayer in his house and in the market by twenty-five degrees, because when he performs wudu well, then goes out towards the mosque, and goes out only for the prayer, then for every step of his, a degree is raised for him, and one of his sins is wiped away. And when he prays, then as long as he remains at the place of prayer, the angels continue to supplicate for him: O Allāh, send mercy upon him, have mercy on him. And as long as any one of you remains waiting for the prayer, he continues to be counted as in prayer.
