Imam Bukhari narrates: Muhammad bin al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abdul Wahhab narrated to us, he said: Ayyub narrated to us from Abi Qilabah, he said: Malik, may Allāh be pleased with him, narrated to us, he said:

We came to the Prophet ﷺ, and we were young men of similar age. We stayed with him for twenty days and twenty nights. And the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was soft-hearted and kind. When he thought that we were longing to go to our families, he asked us: Whom have we left behind at home? So we told him, then he said: Go to your families, and stay among them and teach them, and command them, and he mentioned a few things which I remember or do not remember. (Abu Qilabah is uncertain what Malik bin al-Huwairith said) And pray as you see me praying, and when the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the Adhan, and let the eldest among you lead the prayer.
