Imam Bukhari narrates: Musaddad narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us from Ayyub and Abdul Hamid Sahib al-Ziyadi and Asim al-Ahwal from Abdullah bin al-Harith, he said that

Ibn Abbas, may Allāh be pleased with them both, gave us a sermon on a muddy day. When the mu'adhdhin reached "Hayya ala-l-falah," he commanded him to say "Pray in your homes." Then the people looked at each other, so Ibn Abbas said: One who was better than me has done this, and this is a strict command.
