Imam Bukhari narrates: Qutaibah bin Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Isma'il bin Ja'far narrated to us, from Humaid from Anas bin Malik, may Allāh be pleased with him, he said that

when the Prophet ﷺ fought against a people with us, he would not fight against them until it became morning, and he would wait. So if he heard the Adhan, he would hold back from fighting against them, and if he did not hear the Adhan, then he would attack them. Anas said: Then we went towards Khaybar, we reached them at night. So when it became morning and he did not hear the Adhan, he mounted, and I also mounted behind Abu Talhah, and my foot was touching the foot of the Prophet ﷺ. So the people of Khaybar came out towards us with their baskets and hoes or spades. So when they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they said: Muhammad (has come)! And by Allāh, Muhammad has come with the army. Anas said: When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saw them, he said: Allāhu Akbar! Allāhu Akbar! Khaybar is destroyed. When we arrive in the courtyard of a people, then the morning of those who have been warned is evil.
