Imām Bukhārī narrates: Muslim ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrāhīm, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, and he is Ibn al-Hasan ibn 'Alī, he said:
We asked Jābir ibn 'Abdullāh, may Allāh be pleased with them both, about the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ, so he said that the Prophet ﷺ used to pray the Zuhr prayer at midday, and he used to pray the 'Asr prayer at a time when the sun was shining, and he used to pray Maghrib at the time when the sun had set, and when the people were many, he would pray the 'Ishā' prayer early, and when the people were few, he would delay the 'Ishā' prayer, and he used to pray the Fajr prayer in the darkness at the end of the night.
