Imām Bukhārī narrates: Abū al-Nu'mān narrated to us, he said: Hammād narrated to us, and he is Ibn Zaid, from 'Amr ibn Dīnār, from Jābir ibn Zaid, from Ibn 'Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with them both, that:
the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prayed seven rak'ahs and eight rak'ahs in Madīnah al-Munawwarah — Zuhr and 'Asr, and Maghrib and 'Ishā'.
Ayyūb said: Perhaps this was a rainy night? He said: This (rain) was expected.
