Imam Bukhari narrates: Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Manjufi narrated to us, he says: Rauh narrated to us, he says: Auf narrated to us, from Al-Hasan and Muhammad, from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

Whoever accompanied the funeral of a Muslim in a state of faith and seeking reward, and stayed with it until he prayed the funeral prayer over it and finished its burial, he will return with two qirats of reward, each qirat like the mountain of Uhud; and whoever prayed the funeral prayer and returned before the burial, he will return with one qirat.

In this hadith, Uthman the muezzin has followed Rauh; he said: Auf narrated to us, from Muhammad, from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of this hadith.
