Imam Bukhari narrates: Hafs bin 'Umar narrated to us the hadeeth, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us the hadeeth, he said: Qatadah informed me, he said: I heard Hazrat Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him), he said: The Prophet ﷺ said:

None of you should spit in front of himself, nor towards his right side, but rather let him spit towards his left side or under his foot.
