Imam Bukhari narrates: 'Amr bin 'Awn narrated to us the hadeeth, he said: Hushaim narrated to us the hadeeth, from Humaid, from Hazrat Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him), he narrates that Hazrat 'Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him) said:

I have agreed with my Rabb in three matters. I said: O Messenger of Allāh! If only we took the Station of Ibraheem as a place of prayer. Then this ayah was revealed: "And take the Station of Ibraheem as a place of prayer." (Al-Baqarah: ). And in the ayah of Hijab, I said: O Messenger of Allāh! If only you commanded your wives to observe Hijab, because both the righteous and the wicked (every kind of person) speaks to them. Then the ayah of Hijab was revealed. And the wives of the Prophet ﷺ came together in jealousy against him, so I said to your wives: If he divorces all of you, it is soon that your Rabb will grant him, in exchange for you, wives better than you. (At-Tahreem: ). Then this very ayah was revealed.

Imam Abu 'Abdullah (Bukhari) said: Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us the hadeeth, he said: Yahya bin Ayyub narrated to us the hadeeth, he said: Humaid narrated to me the hadeeth, he said: I heard this hadeeth from Hazrat Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him).
