Imam Bukhari narrates: 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi al-Mawali narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, he says that

I went to Jabir ibn 'Abdullah (may Allāh be pleased with both of them), at that time he was praying by wrapping a single cloth around himself, and his chādar was placed aside. When he finished the prayer, we said: O Abu 'Abdullah! You are praying and your chādar is placed aside? He said: Yes! I liked that ignorant ones like you should see me; I have seen the Prophet ﷺ praying in this very manner.
