(Imam Bukhari narrates that) Harami bin Hafs narrated to us, he said: Abdul Wahid narrated to us, he said: Umarah narrated to us, he said: Abu Zur'ah bin Amr bin Jarir narrated to us, he said: I heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him), that the Prophet ﷺ said:

Allāh guarantees that whoever leaves his home in the way of Allāh, and his leaving home was only due to faith in Me and belief in My Messengers, that I will return him with the reward he attained or the spoils of war, or admit him to Paradise; and if I did not consider it difficult for my Ummah, I would not have stayed behind any expedition, and I would certainly love to be killed in the way of Allāh, then be brought back to life, then be killed, then be brought back to life, then be killed.
