Imam Bukhari narrates: Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: the nephew of Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from his uncle, he said: Humaid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf informed me that Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him) said that

Abu Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with him) sent me in this hajj among the announcers on the day of al-Nahr, that we should announce in Mina that after this year no polytheist will perform hajj, and no one will make tawaf of the Bait Allah in a naked state. Humaid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman said: Then after him, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent 'Ali and commanded him to announce disassociation. Abu Hurairah says that then along with us, 'Ali announced this to the people of Mina on the day of al-Nahr (the day of sacrifice), that after this year no polytheist will perform hajj, and no one will make tawaf of the Bait Allah in a naked state.
