Qutaybah ibn Sa’īd narrated to us; Ḥātim narrated to us; from Yazīd ibn Abī ʿUbayd;

from Salamah ibn al-Akwa’ (may Allāh be pleased with him), who said: The Prophet passed by a group from the tribe of Aslam who were practicing archery. The Messenger of Allāh said: “Shoot, O sons of (the Prophet) Ismā’īl, for indeed your father was an archer, and I am ﷺ with such-and-such a group.” Then one of the two groups stopped shooting. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Why are you not shooting?” They said: “O Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ), how can we shoot while you are with them?” He said: “Shoot, for I am with all of you.”
