Sa’īd ibn Talīd al-Ru’aynī narrated to us, Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim informed me, from Ayyūb, from Muḥammad,

from Abū Hurayrah (may Allāh be content with him), who said: The Messenger of Allāh said: “Ibrāhīm (upon whom be peace) did not tell an untruth except three times (due to permissible circumstances - see Hadīth no. 2217.)”
